Marshall and I tried to pass out food to homeless people today.

It failed pretty hilariously.  Then we went to see 127 Hours.  That was intense.

ATTN: anyone coming to DC this weekend, I would like to see y’all. All y’all. I work all day Saturday but want to party as much as possible cuz I can’t go to the rallies. Get in contact with me or someone we both know!
Edit: Sorry about the lame pic, I almost barfed myself. Also, someone isn’t coming who I really wanted to come, wish you were here.

Sleep at my apartment!

I remember driving around in high school, listening to The Ataris. And I remember getting drunk in college, swaying and shouting lyrics by The Ataris. And they are definitely included in at least a handful of the best days of our lives.

Agreed.  But there are better Ataris songs to shout.

My Grandma turned 90 two days ago.

We threw her a surprise party today and we didn’t surprise her so much that she had some sort of heart attack.  Two things made me really think.

1) My family says that I lost weight, and that I seem very happy.  They also were impressed with the fact that I found work in a city that I was pretty unfamiliar with.  I do have to hand that to my wonderful friends who called in favors to get me jobs.

2) My Grandma is 90 fucking years old.  That’s really old.  She still drives around and stuff.  Do I want to be that old?  Will I make it to that age?  etc.  This is pretty much just an existential post.

I remember when I was in a Dubstep/Noise band.  Oh memories.

for anyone who lives in the rockville/DC area, this place is a must. it’s been there forever, and i finally went for the first time last night. it’s somewhat of a dive (but those are always the most fun anyway, right?) with cheap beer and a good, welcoming atmosphere. also, it just happened to be karaoke night last night, which was a super bonus. i sang “Alison” by Elvis Costello, and a random 47-year-old woman named Leah helped me sing “Anything For Love” by Meatloaf. can’t beat that.

yeah, well i got her number.

Ted Leo and Tom Tom Club next to dudes like Tom Evanchuck and The Tillers is a-okay in my book. Stoked than my hometown is boasting a decent music festival.

Tom Evanchuck!?  Wow.  I remember jamming in his living room.  Now he’s all big and stuff.  Awesome.
